Need Machine (Andrew Faulkner)
Sinopse
"Need Machine" clamors through the brain like an unruly marching band. Both caustic and thoughtful, these poems offer a topography of modern life writ large in twitchy, neon splendor, in a voice as sure as a surgeon and as trustworthy as a rumor. Andrew Faulkner's debut collection of poetry is as sharp as a bag of razors about a subject that usually breeds nothing but milquetoast wishy-washiness: boredom, dissatisfaction and indifference. Instead of the watery, grey and indefinite language that these feelings often inspire, Faulkner attacks them with every ounce of acerbic, snarling wit he can muster.
